I have not been aware of any emails being lost since I started this thread, so Gliwmaeden2's advice doesn't seem relevant. However that is not to say some that I have not been expecting have not got lost, so I don't consider the problem fixed unless you are aware of some corrective action by TalkTalk.

.

In addition I am using POP3 access, so I do not understand how this could find emails other than those in my inboxes on two separate machine types. I use POP3 as it allows me to monitor emails on my tablet or smartphone, while keeping a copy of all emails on my PC unless I choose to delete them.

I have recently become aware of two sources of emails that always seem to get lost when viewed on my Windows PC with Thunderbird or my Android tablet with Blue Mail. When I first saw the problem I was not confident that the problem was not with the source, but yesterday received an urgent encrypted medical email which I was unable to decrypt as the one-time passwords from Microsoft Purview never appeared. I have looked for any filters that might be causing the problems, but there a none set. I would welcome any suggestions as to how to proceed.

How are you getting on. Did the email from Microsoft show up?

Chris

No, Microsoft email not seen.

N.B. I tried to reply yesterday, but the secure access codes were taking more than 10 minutes to arrive, so I couldn't get in

@MyUxt, the secure access code delay can be a real pain.

I find it comes in promptly if you tell your email to search for Talktalk "in the past 6 months". Then it pulls the new one in along with the others.

Just waiting for it to arrive, not a hope, whereas this trick has worked every time for me.
