Forgot email password and recovery address wrong

Hi, hopefully somebody can help me.

When microsoft changed the authentication method for email address using outlook it blocked access to my email. I'm now in the situation where I can not log back into my account because I've forgotten my password, and unfortunately I'm unable to change my password because to do so requires a authentication code to be sent to my email address or my recovery email address neither of which I can access because the recovery email address is wrong and I don't know my email password.

So can someone advise me as to how I can change the recovery email address in order that I can get the authentication code, or alternatively change my password without needing an authentication code?
