Attachments not opening

Just recently the e mails I am receiving that have attachments. The attachments are not opening. When I go to view the screen goes black and I can’t return to the e mail. I then have to log out and then log back in to talktalk email. This is also affecting the e mails of previous dates when I was then able to open them. This is a problem with my I pad only as I can open the attachments on my mobile. How can you help.

Hi @mcbaing what make is your phone? Could be recent apple updates are responsible?

Can you download the attachments and then read them?

What format are the attachments?

Hi mcbaing, did this coincide with an update from Apple by any chance? Have you tried removing the mail account restarting the device and then readding the mail account?
