How do I see old emails?

My inbox in webmail says there are over 3000 emails in the inbox but the figure beside the Inbox says~ 800.

How to I search for emails going backed to perhaps 2010?

Hi cobaltblue, the 800 are unread only. The rest of the mails may be in subfolders or in the inbox. If you know what you're looking for just search all folders.
