Permanently Closing email

Many years ago I contacted talk talk to close an email account. I was very surprised to find it was still active when I got hacked. Can somebody please let me know how I can close this email address? Thank you

You may find "right to be forgotten" or anything to do with GDPR might help, @Lozaka1:

If you are a longstanding current customer, it would be normal to have an email address set up when you joined, but if you actively requested it be closed down, that should be looked into.

There's a Complaints procedure linked at the foot of the page.

For some time, it's not been possible to add or remove mail boxes in My Account. Staff may be able to sort this manually for you, so wait and see if they can do that before following up my other suggestions.

You'll need to have completed your community forum profile details for staff to identify your account.

Go via your avatar; settings...... Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.

Staff will respond during the day.

Hi Lozaka1, you need to follow the right to be forgotten process and the mailbox will be deleted. Unfortunately, I'm not permitted to help with deletion of an email.
