Hi Cloggerdon. I'm a little confused. Are you saying that when you're setting up Outlook for TalkTalk email Outlook overwrites the settings you're choosing?

When you say 'I open Mail', do you mean the included Microsoft Mail app in Windows? (And you have set your TalkTalk email account as an account in Microsoft Mail ?)

If so, that's my set up as well. And I have experienced the same problems.

I have not found a way yet to stop this.

As far as I know, Microsoft will continue its attempts to replace Microsoft Mail by 'new Microsoft Outlook'.

All you can do at present, is to discourage it. The best way I have found so far to do this, is, whenever you notice it on your Task Bar at the bottom, to immediately uninstall it.

You can do even better by now and then, checking your list of apps on the far left, and if it's listed there, uninstall it.

You can then continue using Microsoft Mail.

Bill

Do you not need to access webmail via a browser, rather than a desktop app?
