I found that I need to reset my pass to TalkTalk email. I have tried Forgotten Password link and I ask a code to be sent to my mobile phone as I cannot receive emails on my TalkTalk email at the moment. Can I have the code sent to my alternative email address which not on the code to be sent list.

Thank you for your replay. There is diffidently a problem here and I think my TT account has been hacked. When I checked with Google password manage my PW was changed to XXXXXX which i did not do. There was a notice that you have only 3 attempts.

The current situation is that hat I cannot send or receive email. As I said before in December I was bombarded with SPAM TT email which i did not read and junked them and some I reported to TT and the Gov website. There followed by a ransom letter which oddly had the sender and receiver email address for victorjohn43 and could mistakenly blocked it. I did not take the bait!

The effected email address is XXXXXXX@talktalk.net and I am currently using XXXXXX@hotmail.com and I hope I have informed my commercial and personal people the change so I get any current news. My mobile number id XXXXXXXXXX

@tradewinds1943, I have removed even the unauthorised password, in case putting it up there signalled something to the perpetrator.

In the above post you revealed both of your email addresses and your mobile phone number, a gift to anyone on the lookout for useful information that could be used by criminals on the web.

You need to be extremely careful with your information everywhere you go.

Forum rules require you to complete your community forum profile to store such details securely. Go via your avatar/name; settings; complete Personal Information. Scroll down to find the SAVE CHANGES button.

Only you and forum staff can access that area.

However information may have been harvested during the half hour it was displayed in the thread.

I've used the details you provided to request the password tool be updated for you so that you can reset your password. It will complete within 24 hours. To check if it's complete you can check you can intermittently go to Password Reset Tool and you'll see when it's been changed.
