Hello Ady,

Thank you for the reply.

I know if I sent an email to the ntl address it would be received.

The backgound to this forwarding is to protect the email address of the recipient becoming public knowledge thereby protecting them under GDPR. A very valid reason to use forwarding and what's more the recipient receives emails forwarded in this way from all manner of people using other ISPs so it is just TalkTalk users. This doesn't seem fair.

David

There are two email adresses I send to which return the following or very similar message below. I am advised by someone I trust that it is the TalkTalk mail server which is causing the issue.

Can I have advise on how to stop this please.

PS in trying to submit my message I got back Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxx@ntlworld.com

    host mxin5.virginmedia.com [84.116.6.18]

    SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:

    554 5.2.0 MXIN603 DMARC validation failed. ;id=fyIRtrtHC53mSfyIRtqIUt;sid=fyIRtrtHC53mS;mta=mx10-prd-nl1-vmo;dt=2025-02-06T10:35:49+01:00;ipsrc=185.151.28.76;

Hi davidh1, mail forwarding is no longer permitted and that's what normally returns this error. Send and email directly to the ntl address from webmail and let me know what happens.
