Accessing my webmail

Since Talk Talk took over my and my partners MyPostOffice email accounts (which had subsequently been taken over by Shell Energy), I have no idea or understanding of how to access those webmail accounts at source. Whereas I can easily sign into my Talk Talk phone account, when it comes to signing into Talk Talk mail, it fails to recognise my password. I am at a loss as to why something that was easily done prior to Talk Talk takeover, has now been stymied. Please advise. TS

Hi, @timmeroo

As far as I know, your Talk Talk phone account, comes under your TalkTalk broadband account. There is usually no separate Talk Talk phone account. To get us into the picture, is it a part-fibre TalkTalk broadband account or something else? What does it say, when you log into your TalkTalk MyAccount? Second, what is/are the last part/s of you email address/addresses, the part after the @.

Bill

the Talk Talk package name is 'Fast Broadband'.

of the two email a/cs, one ends '@mypostoffice.co.uk' and the other ends '@pobroadband.co.uk'

TS

So have you tried to follow the sign in instructions here, @timmeroo?

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Using-TalkTalk-Webmail/ta-p/2204440

If that isn't working for you, you must speak to the Shell Migration team, as mentioned in my first reply.

It doesn't matter what the Talktalk broadband account is called - that's not relevant.

It's the fact that you are a legacy Shell customer, so forum staff are not dealing with the (many) issues that are cropping up with the migration.

yes I've tried signing into Talk Talk Mail with mypostoffice email address and password and it comes up with 'Password is incorrect' - so I guess I'll have to make a call. Thanks. TS

Well this is weird. Before I set to ring Talk Talk I thought I'd just try out my previous Shell Energy login once more just to make sure it was redundant - and lo, behold! - I gained access to my Shell Energy webmail a/c with all fully functioning capabilities to open, delete and reply to emails from there; same for my partners a/c - and am also able to get them up on my phone - yay! - AND, I even re-found my dear departed mothers fully functioning PO email a/c which has been inactive since 2018.

I was sure I had not been able to access the SE after TT took over, but it now looks like they kept up with the entire SE server protocols (or whatever they done did do !!!) so no need to bother making that call, at all, at all.😉

My thanks for all your efforts n inputs.
