unable to upload contacts

I have a CSV file which I am trying to import to TalkTalk webmail. Every time I try I get the following message:

An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

I have tried using several browsers over the last couple of days.

What does this mean? How can I fix it?
