To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number (TalkTalk Phone or Account number box )and, if possible, an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture and then clicking on "My Settings" followed by:-

Personal Profile > Personal Information

have tried chrome still no luck it would seem that the code is being sent to my tiscali address and not to my hotmail aich i can access

I understand, you can manage and reset your email password from within MyAccount, can you confirm if you have tried to use MyAccount to reset the password?

yes i have tried my account but tiscali is my recovery account and the code seems to be sent there instead of my hotmail account witch is my account address

Yes we can, what you can do is when you try to reset your password on your myaccount or through chrome is tick on forgotten password and not select email as a recover and select mobile number as an option to allow the code to be sent on your Mobile number instead.
