Two Profiles in the community

I only have TalkTalk Mail, no broadband. I have had a Community account since 2013, which I haven't used for a while. When I tried to log in recently, I discovered the "new" log in procedure. I entered the email address I had used in the past, and received the code, but when I entered the code it said the address was not recognized. So I used the address that is registered to My Account and instead of logging into the community profile that I have, I found a new profile (this one) had been created. How can I get back in to my original profile please? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I couldn't find any section specific to community issues.

That change of procedure did happen a while back to enhance security for community access. Is there anything particular you need to pick up from your previous community account, which you say you have not used for a while anyway? Otherwise, what would like help with?

I guess I don't actually need it, but it had my years of membership, likes, badges etc. I'd prefer to have it linked to my email rather than this new one if it's possible, but if it isn't I can live with this one.

OK, I understand. When the support team are back online on Monday they may be able to help. What was your previous username, have you checked it out?

To regain access to your original TalkTalk Community account, you can follow these steps:

Check Email Addresses: Ensure that you are using the correct email address associated with your original Community account. Sometimes, users may have multiple email addresses and may inadvertently use the wrong one.

Password Reset: If you are unsure about the email address or password, try using the password reset option. Go to the TalkTalk Community login page and select the option to reset your password. Enter the email address you believe is linked to your original account and follow the instructions.

Community Help Section: If you can access the new profile, check if there is a help or support section within the Community platform. Sometimes, there are specific threads or FAQs that address account recovery issues.
