I want to add mypostoffice.co.uk email addresses to my new android phone. It only has my original GMail details.

when I go to add another account after putting in my old post office account it asks if the account is Pop3 or IMAP. Help, please which one is it ? I tried both.

i put in my password on the next page. Incoming server settings validating then email security not guaranteed. I press edit settings. It says Try updating the port and/or security type to add this account. It says port 110 at present and also Security type STARTTLS.

Thank you for any help.

IMAP is preferred as it will keep your mails on the server until you delete them from your phone or other device. If for example you use a PC too, if all 3 use IMAP each will be a replica of the other.

TalkTalk mails settings can be found here, which should, I believe, also apply to legacy accounts.
