How do I import old emails and transfer contacts from talktalk to a new email address please

Take a look via a websearch, @TrishB65 , but honestly it's probably simplest to forward only important emails to your new address for storage.

You'll need to inform contacts of the new address anyway, which will take a round robin to all of them - it's also an opportunity to spring clean.

We all hang on to too much stuff in the inboxes over time. I wouldn't transfer everything, lock, stock and barrel.
