Scam / Phishing Emails

I have noticed a big increase in scam / phishing emails the last few days on all of my TalkTalk email addresses. I use Outlook as my email client. Some of the emails that come through have the same subject headers but looks like they have come from different sources. At the moment I have just been right clicking on the emails and listing them as junk and blocking the sender.

My concern is why is this suddenly happening, is it just a problem I have or has there suddenly been a big increase for all TalkTalk users?

Hi there @DaveM54 We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We are looking into this issue as a number of customers have been reporting. Please report Phishing emails using the following steps:
Using Webmail

Open the email that you want to report for phishing
Select the more actions menu (the 3 dots top right of the email ) and select Save as file from the drop down menu. This will download the email as a file to your downloads folder.
Then compose a new email add phishing@talktalk.co.uk to the To Field
Add phishing email example in Subject
Then select attach (Paper clip at bottom) select the downloaded file
Send email

Using Mail client
In most cases you can drag the email to your desktop
Then compose a new email, add phishing@talktalk.co.uk to the To Field
Add phishing email example in Subject
Then attach downloaded file
Send email

Our security team will then check through these and block them on our network where appropriate.
