Why can I not see emails prior to 1 September in my inbox I talktalk webmail or on my ipad. I have not exceeded storage limits

Very occasionally we get reports on the forum about emails mysteriously vanishing, @bernardh47, and Talktalk always says, make sure that you have backed up anything important.

If the emails haven't ended up in the bin / trash, and cannot be found in your webmail inbox, they have gone for good.
