Retaining email address confliction

Currently, my email address is part of my TalkTalk FTTC broadband. I’m finding conflicting advice on ensuring I retain my @Tiscali.co.uk upon leaving TalkTalk.

Some advice says I should sign up to TalkTalk Mail Plus before leaving. However, I can see nowhere in My Account where that is possible. Other advice says that when I close the account, I will receive an email inviting me to sign up to Everymail to retain my email address.

It would be nice to receive a definitive and reassuringly unambiguous statement.

Ok, but I am still confused. Bluntly, do I have to do anything before leaving TalkTalk or do I just leave and then wait to receive an email invite to Everymail?

Thank you Phili. No disrespect intended but I did find your reply somewhat confusing.

You are correct – I have logged into my account but cannot see how to sign up to Everymail. However, it is still unclear what I should do instead. Sorry to be so pedantic but I was hoping there was some way of “reserving” my email address prior to leaving rather than having to await an email from TalkTalk after leaving.

Mail Plus is no longer available. You will need to subscribe to Everymail if you wish to keep your address.

@Whathim if your account is still active with TalkTalk, and you wantg to leave. You try signing up to Everymail however if it is not allowing you, you will then have to wait to receive the email with the other batch that did not receive it due to disconnecting account after the communication was sent.
