      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;Subject: Unable to Send Email — Webmail Shows 550 5.7.1, SMTP Won’t Connect (Receiving Works)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;I need help with my TalkTalk email account as I am currently unable to send any emails at all, from any device or platform.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Summary of the Problem&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I can receive incoming emails normally.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;But I cannot send emails using:&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;TalkTalk Webmail&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Gmail app on my phone (using my TalkTalk account)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The problem persists across all devices and networks.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;What Happens on Webmail&lt;BR /&gt;When using TalkTalk Webmail on the website, any email I try to send (even to myself, and even a simple plain-text message) fails with:&lt;BR /&gt;550 5.7.1 – Reject for policy reason&lt;BR /&gt;This indicates a server-side policy block or filtering rejection.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What Happens on My Phone (Gmail App)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I updated my TalkTalk password on the phone.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I can receive email, so authentication is correct.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When sending, the email stays stuck in the Outbox.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;SMTP settings are correct:&lt;BR /&gt;Server: smtp.talktalk.net&lt;BR /&gt;Port: 587&lt;BR /&gt;Security: STARTTLS&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Gmail returns: “Couldn’t open connection to server.”&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;This means the Gmail app is unable to make an SMTP connection to TalkTalk’s server on port 587.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Important Timeline Detail&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The 550 5.7.1 rejection on Webmail occurred BEFORE I changed my password, so the sending block is not caused by the password change.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The SMTP connection failure on my phone is happening after the error appeared through Webmail, which suggests a single underlying cause.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;What I Believe Is Happening&lt;BR /&gt;Given that Webmail cannot send, SMTP on 587 cannot connect, port 465 also fails, and receiving works fine, I believe that my outbound sending has been blocked by TalkTalk’s email platform, likely due to a policy filter or security rule triggered on my account.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What I Need&lt;BR /&gt;Could you please check:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Whether my TalkTalk email account has been blocked or restricted from sending&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Whether there is a policy rule, security flag, or anti-spam filter currently applied to my account&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Whether the outbound SMTP service for my account can be reset or unblocked&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Whether there is any issue affecting smtp.talktalk.net on port 587 for my specific mailbox&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you very much for your help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
