Adding a second email address to my account

I successfully added my wife's email address to my existing email account. I then registered with the NHS so she could order her medications from her on-line GP surgery. The NHS sent a verification address to my wife's email. When she tried to open her e-mail address TalkTalk would not let her into her address so we could not verify the account. (I have an account with the NHS and it works for me. How can I add my wife's address and get it to work!

@Phil2016 I would appreciate it if you could confirm how you added your wife's email address to your account.

Additionally, I have reviewed your community profile and noticed that you need to include your wife's email there as well in order for this to be a success.
