topic VPN still needed? in Email

TalkTalk webmail doesn't work outside the UK, and needs a VPM when travelling. This seemed to me a major flaw in what should be a portable product. But I guess that's one of the tings which made it unchangeable.

If I pay for the Everymail subscription, am I getting an email service without the geo boundaries?

No idea, and I doubt TalkTalk staff will know either.

It's been a while since I went abroad, but I don't remember there being any restrictions when I did.

There is no staff support here anymore so you will have to contact TalkTalk direct to discuss. Please see my signature for more information.

@johnnyj100000,

Usually you can receive Talktalk email when abroad, but sending is often not possible due to certain areas of the world being prone to churning out loads of Spam or phishing enterprises etc.

So, to be on the safe side, I would always use a free address from Gmail / Hotmail / Yahoo and the like for travels - they work in most parts of the world except where governments interfere with the Internet.
