Check your MyAccount next week and if the billing system has slipped in a late payment fee I'm sure that Siyabonga or one of the billing colleagues will reverse it.

I've not seen mention of a 3 days' grace period. I believe that if the payment that's due by a given date isn't credited to your account by that due date then the billing system does apply a £12.50 late payment fee.
I think you would need to ask TalkTalk in advance to give you some days' grace. See if they're willing to make an exception as you paid pretty swiftly after the due date was missed.
