£65 Engineer Charge

Back in June their was a thunderstorm and somewhere local was hit by lightning resulting in a lot of houses in the local areas routers being fried, I was one of those. I experienced very slow speeds which I got on to live chat about. They told me I had a problem and booked me an engineer which came the next day. The engineer tested my line, router etc which showed my router was damaged/faulty due to a result of a surge, the engineer said they have been to numerous houses that day with the same problem. I did have a spare new router, talktalk had sent me another when I first joined so the engineer swapped over and all was working back to normal. I have now been hit with a £65 engineer charge. 


Please can you look into this, I dont believe I should be responsible for this charge. The fault was with your equipment, not caused by myself but by weather.
