Another Phantom call to 123

Hi,

Once again Openreach have used my line to call 123 for 3 seconds, stinging me another 50p charge. Please refund this. And block the making of such calls from my line. I do not have a phone connected to it and Openreach were in the area at the time the call was made.

How to complain to Openreach about their cowboy "engineers" still doing this? I thought they banned this practice.

Thanks.

No problem.

Its not as common as it was 5  or 6 years ago, sadly some engineers seem to stick to this process as a testing method, when they have been told not to.

Hi Arne,

Thank you for your assistance and resolution.

Perhaps if ISPs billed Openreach for all detected unauthorised calls to premium rate numbers (123 seems to be a common one because easy to dial) they'd strongly discourage/ban their engineers from doing it. BT profit from it so they allow it. To me it's like a sneak thief and hoping no-one will notice it. It's distasteful.

Cheers!
