Automatic Ofcom Compensation

I've just spent over an hour trying to get some confirmation from the Chat Line service re- compensation. My internet went down due to a cab fault on Friday 9th October, it was reinstated on Wednesday 20th October. No compensation has been paid to date. I have lodged a complaint with them as the only compensation that the Chat Line could offer was £11.83 with a further £10 after I refused. Apparently, the "back room boys" are the only ones that can apply the credit. I thought it was supposed to be automatic?

I have received a phone call on Saturday and the account has now been fully credited for the down time. Result!

It should be paid once 30 days have elapsed from when the fault has been fixed, but there have been delays in recent months across all providers, probably caused by Openreach. The support team here will certainly look into this for you.
