Hi,

I was wondering if someone could take a look at my recent bills/payments? My bills were always paid by recurring card payment and then manually when TT ended that method.

*I am in the process of changing my surname (marriage) with TalkTalk (forms sent off) in order to set up a Direct Debit.*

Due to my mistake, I was charged late payment/admin fees for the last two bills and those have been paid.

Could you possibly look at my balance and tell me if I'm in credit enough to cover the next bill because when I go to the billing page it won't load?

Last question (sorry!). Do you or any forum members know how long it takes for TT to process an account name change after receiving the forms? They were delivered to the TT PO Box yesterday.

Thanks in advance,

Amy

Hi Amy991

Correct your next bill is 20.50 will be taken by DD, then your normal price moving forward.

Hi @Arne-TalkTalk

Sorry to bother you again but could you take a quick look at my account? Everything seems ok, it's just that the direct debit wasn't taken and I think the account credit was used instead?

The account dashboard says I have an outstanding balance, however,  when I click through to 'My Bills' it shows: (-£48.50) 25Feb-24March - No payment is required for this bill.

Upcoming Bill shows an account balance of £20.50.  I take it that the £20.50 will be used as part-payment and the direct debit adjusted for the remaining? Then just DD going forward?

Sorry for the hassle,

Amy

Hi Amy991

Thanks for the update.

Your payment date is the 28th, the direct debit is pending at the moment so will need to check again on the 28th

Hi @Arne-TalkTalk & @Divsec

Update!

I logged into my account today (Tue 18th) and my name change has gone through. That was quick!

I've set up the Direct Debit and there was an option to refund the remaining account credit. I've received email confirmation for both the Debit being set up and refund processing.

Hopefully that's it sorted but I'm now wondering if it's been set up too close to the end of the month for this bill? Maybe that will be sorted out as part of the refund process (some of the money used to pay this month's bill and then Direct Debit going forward)?

Thanks,

Amy

Hi @Amy991 glad @Arne-TalkTalk was able to get to the bottom of things for you, he usually does. Please just remember it might take longer than the 7 workings days, what can go wrong usually does.🤞

Hi @Arne-TalkTalk

Thanks so much for getting back to me and for the credit. Really appreciate that.

Thanks for the name change info, the form was sent on Monday the 10th and the tracking shows delivery yesterday (13th). 7 working days or so to process isn't too bad, I had imagined it would have taken longer.

Hope you have a good weekend and thanks again,

Amy.

Hi @Amy991

Your account is in credit, On this occasion the late payment fee is underserved so ill credit it back.

Name changes are usually with 7 days of receiving the form, when did you send it?
