can I get a new deal in that period ?

They are upgrading customers at no charge as they move away from ADSL services and are incentivised to do so by Openreach. Less of a copper network to maintain.

You can, but you will probably be charged a fee. There is no additional charge if you renew within the last 90 days of an existing contract.
