Cancelled my service with Talk Talk but continue to get emails about my direct debit

Hi All - i cancelled my TalkTalk service by phone on the 24th March, but continue to get emails from them as though my service is still active. I am out of contract so no termination fees, has anyone else had the same issue?

Your account is still active, have you requested another provider to take over your line?

Talktalk always bills a month ahead and, if you simply rang up to cancel, they would need 30 days' notice.

 

If another Openreach provider has taken over the line, you will be billed to that date.

 

It can take a month or two to sort it all out, and the easiest way to claim back any overpayment is via your banking details through My Account. 

 

We always advise that you keep your Direct Debit details in place to facilitate this.
