I am a current VDSL customer.
I would like to upgrade to FTTP and then port my landline number to a VOIP provider which I already have setup and working.
To do this I need to get FTTP installed first as a new contract and then I will request porting which will result in the VDSL line being cancelled.
Can you advise as the best way to achieve this to avoid a simple upgrade being setup instead against my wishes and I end up losing the landline number.

Staff are not on the forum at weekends, @FishmanUK - they can't set up contracts and so you really need to contact Talktalk by phone or Chat to check the circumstances for your particular line.
03451 720088 is the first point of contact, opening at 9am (but not Sundays).
