How do i receive compensation for us having to go and buy a connector as TalkTalk didnt bother?

Hi - we recently moved and booked an engineer to set our internet up. Despite us telling TalkTalk over and over again that we needed a new adapter to connect to the wall socket they didn't bother sending the engineer with one and instead he completed all work outside of the property and they deemed it a job done and left us with no internet tethering from our phones for 5 days. Despite numerous complaints of what we needed they did nothing and in the end we just went and bought a connector ourselves from Currys. How do I go about TalkTalk paying for the connector as well as all the data we have burned through tethering from our phones working from home all week.

What adapter did you need ?

 

All TT routers come supplied with a microfilter and the necessary cables to connect to a normal phone socket.

 

If you moved home you would have been expected to bring your router, filter and cables with you.
