FYI due to current situation there is a possibility of a delay in the transfer as Openreach prioritize fault fixing over provisioning issues, your service should continue on with your current provider until the switch happens.

Welcome to the TalkTalk Community.
If your previous provider used the Openreach network to provide you with broadband and phone service then TalkTalk will manage your new order, switch your broadband and phone number and you will not need to contact the losing provider as TalkTalk will do that for you.
Any other network and you'll need to advise the losing provider BUT it is strongly recommended that you do not cancel until your TalkTalk broadband connection is up and running.
Have you asked TalkTalk to switch your existing telephone number? Let us know who your existing provider is please.
