Hi

The chip and pin stopped working on my debit card so I ordered another one from the bank.  It came with a different number to my old card.  Talktalk sent a message to me saying that the payment did not go through, I paid it on the new card immediately.  I then set up a direct debit to ensure future payments were made.  Lo and behold, I get this month's bill in with a late payment fine on it. 

Pretty desperate behaviour Talktalk.  I was super-patient with you during the pandemic when you had no  support and I paid instantly when you sent this message.  Just signed a new contract with you too.  So thanks a lot for repaying my loyalty with this nonsense.

I will remember this come renewal time.

Late payment fees are applied automatically. It's not really TalkTalk's fault if your payment details were not up to date.
