Status of contract

My current/last TalkTalk contract expired on 23 September. On 21 September I followed a link received via email from TalkTalk to renew my contract for 18 months at a special rate. I completed the online journey which ended on a confirmation page. However, I haven't received any confirmation email and I've just checked my account and can see it's rolled onto the more expensive standard rate. 

 

How do I check that the contract renewal was received and is being processed? And can someone from TalkTalk confirm that once it has been processed my bill will be adjusted to apply the correct new rate from the day I accepted the new contract. There was no mention whatsoever in the email I received that the renewal would not be immediate.
