Hi,

I have moved home but can not log into my account to change the connection over.

I believe my account details may of been changed into my ex's name and email address. We do not talk. How can I change this back to me? I am the bill payer and initial contract holder.

@Itsme33 you need to speak to your ex and find out if the account was actually transferred into his name.

 

Whoever is the account holder will be responsible for any charges.

 

If you cancel the payment method the actual account holder should be emailed by TT if a Direct Debit is cancelled/missed or a recurring card payment fails.

 

To save yourself a lot of grief, get talking.

No one lives there, he moved out before Christmas. So I can cancel the payments, and i won't be the one liable for end of contract charges?

@Itsme33  if the name on the account is now your ex, then THEY are the account holder, not you.

 

An account can only be held in one name, so if that has happened, you, as the original account holder must have authorised a change of ownership.

 

Is the service still active at the previous property and is it your ex that is using it ?
