hello, i have an account number and trying to set up on line, but it says i am  registered, but i am not.

i cannot get anywhere.

if i try to register it won't let me, if i try to get email or password reminders it can't as i am not registered and it asks me to rgeister!!

I would have to suggest that you call them using the details on their contact us page

Ive checked every system I have access too, The phone number given is does Not have an active Billing account with the residential side, so it has to be Business.

i do not think i am.  i have been told this is a residential account.  if we could take it over we would add it to ou business account, but we can't take it over, so a residential account it still is.  can you look at it please?  i have tried talktalk business also until i am blue in the face!!  we have tried for years now. please can someone help?

Hi @neilclarke

 

Apologies it wasn't clear from your first post that you were referencing a Business account.

 

You will need to contact TalkTalk business to sort this out.

 

We dont have access to Business accounts.

It sounds as though the whole thing should have been set up with Talktalk Business, @neilclarke, but that's probably all water under the bridge now.

 

This community forum is for residential services.

 

Check the Ts&Cs, linked at the foot of any TT page, for the details of the contract for residential services. 

 

There will be problems cancelling the line when it's not in your name.

 

Rather than taking this to Talktalk's phone/Chat helpline, wait for @Arne-TalkTalk to get back to this thread to advise further. It's a highly complicated situation. 

 

PMs are still not functioning fully, which is why you have not been able to reply that way.

 

You could try to reply to Arne's PM by clicking on his name and click on SEND MESSAGE. Mention this thread, and that this is the only way to reach him through PM. Normally staff don't respond if it was unsolicited though.

 

Staff are likely to reply in this thread after the weekend now. I'll make sure it is still in the queue for attention.

can you advise please?  this has been such hard work for us for so long and not a peep of help in the slightest from talktalk, who we are paying £100 a month to, but as we are not named on the account are not liable.  There is no way on earth the person named on the account will EVER reappear to switch it over.  our only option now is to cancel the line.  yet all your company needed ever to do was to post the bills to the supply address so we could see them!!!  you lose business and cuase all my team and company hassle becuase of it.  sending a bill does not breach any data protection, quite the opposite.  we are asking for so little, and have tried so hard for so long.

you have just sent me a message but i cannot reply to it.  no idea why you are aksing these questiosn?!!  tjhink you have missed the poitn.  I am TRYING to register for this account that is ours on a site we acquired.  i cannot possibly give you details as i have not registered it!  i cannot register it!!  that is the problem

then we will probably go round in the same circles we have been for sveral months (maybe years?).  we acquired a site and the employee of that site who left that business several years ago never swapped details over.  we have no way of contacting them and you will not move the line to our name, but have taken £100 a month from us eveyr month since, for about 3 1/2 years.  we have taken this to arbirtration now aksing that you return all the funds

Ok,  the number is actually registered under a Tiscali address, but its a different name than in your profile name.

@neilclarke, it's essential that you never display personal information details on the public forum pages. 

 

Please follow the instructions I gave you to add the phone number in your profile area where only you and Talktalk staff have sight of the information.

XXXXXX REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASONS is the landline.  it won't let me register for the account no matter what i do

Add your Talktalk landline number to your community forum profile details, @neilclarke, for staff to identify your account and look into this problem for you.

 

Go via your avatar/name; settings; launch profile wizard. 

 

Your thread is in the queue for attention. It can take a few days to get a reply, and staff respond Monday to Friday.
