returning equipment

I closed my account back in August and have recently returned my equipment (9th October). SInce then, I received an email from talktalk asking me to return the equipment, and that I would be contacted to confirm it had been received - I have not been contacted and the final day for returning my equipment in the 42 day returns period is tomorrow - please can you confirm it has been received as I do not want to be charged for this.
