When first joining TalkTalk with the new Wi-Fi Hub connected to Master Socket 5c all worked well for a while, then since last month I've been having bad latency issues, connection issues, sites not loading but all devices connecting to router via lan cable or wifi perfectly fine.
I called tech and had lines tested and all seems fine, got a 7 day ticket active but still no joy, and now speeds have dropped from 62mb/s to 40.
Is there something up with Talk Talk ? are you guys having issues or implementing new features which seem to be affecting a LOT of customers from what I see in this forum ?
Please help...

Hi tenplus1,
Glad to hear that there's been some improvement. You router does have the latest firmware but I don't know when it was updated. Please let us know if you experience any further problems

Hi tenplus1,
Have you noticed if you experience the high latency when doing anything specifically on another device, maybe downloading and update or uploading to online backup?

The test are always with my wired desktop, when I do get a connection it works fine for a while then latency kicks back in and it cannot connect properly and load pages, and any online games are just unplayable.
I do test my other equipment as well, separate wired desktop, wireless laptop and mobile phone and they all have the same issue.

Hi tenplus1,
I'm sorry to hear this and thanks for the update. Can I just confirm, was this test with the replacement router wired or wireless?
Thanks

Hi tenplus1,
Did you run the tests on a device connected directly to the router by Ethernet cable?

Hi tenplus1,
Apologies, it was incorrectly flagged as spam. I've re-instated the post now. Some of the results are showing high pings to the router. Just to confirm, did you run the tests when connected wired? Are you using any powerline adapters?
I've also re-run the line tests now which are still clear and the sync speed looks consistent. Does the latency seem to happen at certain times of the day? Does it also happen with just the one wired device connected to the line?
Thanks

I've tried to attach pings and traceroutes and every time I post, it disappears from this thread ?!
It's gotten to the point some sites just wont load anymore and gaming is impossible, could you please have someone from openreach check the physical line as the router and cabling has already been replaced.

Hi tenplus1
Thanks for your reply.
Would it be possible to run some pings and trace routes when you experience this issue and post the results on this thread?
Thanks
Debbie

@Debbie-TalkTalk- The speed when all is working is up to 52mb/s but I'm still having latency issues on all of my devices (2x cable connected, 2x wifi) where it sometimes drops connections to that site or takes a while to connect, but once connected seems to run full speed...
e.g. It took me 2 minutes to connect to the community page just to type this.

Hi tenplus1
Thanks for keeping us updated 🙂
How has the connection/speed been since your last post?
Thanks

Hi tenplus1
The replacement router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Let us know how the connection compares with this router.
Thanks
