Connection dropping

Hi 

 

We have had Talk Talk for several years and our signal had been split when we reported issues with it originally. This seemed to work fine even when I had to work from home last year. We renewed our contract in March and since then there has been endless issues where the signal drops out and VPN will not connect. When this happens the speed will be less than 1 mbps and I have to wait for it to increase again. This is not ideal when I am working from home using Teams and Zoom regularly. I have made several complaints but when the line is tested the speed is always fine, even though I have recorded all of the low intermittent speeds. As well as issues with my laptop there are times when it is so slow we cannot stream or download from Sky. I would like to cancel but when the line is tested it is always found to be working ok and therefore I am not given the option.

Hi Emma,

 

Line tests are clear and not seeing any physical issues on the line. Speed is within the estinated range for your line.

 

I've looked at the wifi side, there is a little wifi congestion around you so I've made a small change to see if this helps.  I also notice you are using wifi extenders so I've disabled the wifi optimisation as this can cause the wifi channel to change and may cause a drop in the signal.

 

See if this performs better for the next day or two.
