Constant disconnects every 10 minutes, had engineer out end of last year, started again.

Pretty tired of connection issues with TalkTalk. Connection drops 10-20 times a day for anything between 2-5 minutes at a time. Had two engineers out towards the end of last year, one bt, one connection.


Problem seemed to be finally solved and my connection was (relatively) stable.


Now I'm back to disconnecting as above. All. The. Time.


The moment the weather becomes damp? No Internet.


Wind blows? No Internet.


No reason? No Internet.


No phone is connected to the socket. Last time I did for the engineer the line was awful.

Router is new from last time this happened.


Really sick of this now as I don't want to spend hours and hours going back and forth with TalkTalk to solve a problem that shouldn't exist.

I'm really sorry to hear this and I'll take a look now. I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault, however the connection does look very unstable. Would it be possible to connect a phone to the line to see if there is a dial tone/any noise on the line as a voice fault can affect the broadband connection?

I have asked one of TalkTalk's OCEs to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.

The forum is not real-time 24/7 support, so depending on how busy they are & how many are working at any one time, this can take 24 - 48 hrs (excluding weekends & limited cover on Bank Holidays). Alternatively, you can call the call centre or use online chat. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. So the fewer entries you make on your thread now, the sooner they will pick it up.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:-

Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.
