DLM reset please

 Hi, the bt engineer has been today to fix a landline fault, could you please reset the DLM as the fault has slowed the broadband down.

fibre not available here

 

the predicted speed range aside, the fact that I used to get a sync speed of 3.9Mbps and download speeds over 3,3mbps, and that some of my near neighbours get over 3mbps even now rather suggest that there's still an issue with my line.

The predicted speed range for your line is quite low. Have you checked to see if fibre is available to you? (this will show in My Account)

well the engineer has been, but there's no noticeable improvement - peaked at 1.6 - 1.7mbps and is down to 1.4 today.

I accept potential engineers charges if it turns out to be my equipment at fault;
prefer am appointments; next week i can do any day provided you confirm it with me before this weekend. if you can't do next week then the week after i'm flexible on dates too.

Hi marqous,

 

If you'd like us to arrange the engineer visit can you confirm:

  • That you accept potential Engineers charges
  • Provide availability, either AM (8am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 6pm) between Monday to Friday.

Yes, it did go faster briefly, but then dropped to 1.6 again.

Yes, i guess an engineer visit is probably the way forward.

I've checked the connection stats again and I can see that the sync speed has dropped to just under 2mb.

 

I have also completed another line test which hasn't detected any faults.

 

Would you like me to arrange an engineer visit to investigate the BB speeds?

Well the router arrived promptly, and has been installed for well over a week, but the download speed still tops out just 1.6mbps, although it does 'seem' very slightly faster than the old router - maybe the old one had more dropouts?

Anything else to try to get it back up to 2.0 or more?
