DNS errors causing intermittent browsing

Bellow are a few results from doing repeated NSLOOKU commands against Google.co.uk from my laptop. As can be seen, DNS resolution is not consistent and is causing issues while browsing the web on all devices connected to my wi-fi.  TalkTalk have tested the connection and claim it is ok - I would appreciate some further investigations as aquick google (when it works!) retrieves alot of issues relating to DNS with TalkTalk. I have a DG8041W router.

Hi farneholm

I can't see a Huawei WIFI hub connected at the moment, have you changed the router to a different one?

Thanks

Hi @farneholm,

There is a known issue with the other brand of Wi-Fi Hub (made by Sagemcom, and has the bronze colour behind the holes on the front of the router) that causes DNS resolution issues, this is caused by a problem with the current release of firmware. So many of the topics you have seen about DNS issues may relate to the Sagemcom Hub, I've not heard of any known common issues that affect DNS on the Huawei Hub though.

The staff here won't be around now until Monday, but they should be able to respond to this post early next week to help.
