Faulty router

I’m new to TalkTalk. Received router last week. Its on live from 27.03 but orange colour light is flashing all the time. Line test its ok, but i have information WE HEVE NOT BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY YOUR ROUTER OR ITS SOFTWARE VERSION. this means router is faulty??? I need internet asap for my online courses and so far i can do absolutely nothing!!! Iam really not happy about this situation. Can someone help me??????

Please stick to ONE thread for your issue.  It will be reached. There's a very long queue for help  made even longer and creating extra work to sift through by multiple postings. 

 

An OCE (professional staff) will reach this thread if you sit tight and wait....possibly a day or two!
