Huawei 633 bad WiFi

I've always been able to connect my laptop in the garden which is about 40 meters from the H633 router, but just lately the WiFi just doesn't seem to reach? It's the same with my phone, I used to get full WiFi, but now my phone connects to it's own 4G? It's now even getting really hard to connect in the kitchen, it's as though the power is slowly reducing? The router has not been moved and is in the same place its always been. Has anybody had this problem? Or is the routers WiFi on it's way out? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Paul,

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you tried factory resetting the router and then retesting this?

Restore your router to factory settings

Thanks

Hi @OCE_Michelle

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have tried the factory re-set by the pin in the back, and also through the admin panel without any luck.

Hi Paul,

Ok thanks for confirming this. Would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to rule this out?

Thanks

Hi @OCE_Michelle ,

That would be great if you could send a router for me to test.

Thanks again,

The replacement router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Hi @OCE_Debbie @OCE_Michelle ,

Thank you both so much for the great service you provided 👍

The 635 that you sent me works fine, and now I have a strong WiFi signal again.

The 633 is packed and ready to be returned
