Hi @babsrog78 ,

If there is a 'broadband' light on your router, is there also an 'internet' light, if so what is that light doing ?

First Timer
Broadband light green, internet light solid red, also we have no phone

Ok, so the broadband light being green means your router is physically connected to your street cabinet ok, but if the internet light is red that means your router is not able to log into the TalkTalk network.

Sorry, when you say you have no phone, do you mean that when you pick the phone up the line is dead, or do you mean you don't have a phone so you can't check if it is working ?

Sorry didn't make it clear, the phone is dead when I try to ring on mobile it says landline is engaged

@babsrog78 ,

Ok, so likely to be a line fault causing your issue then.

Are you able to log into the 'My Account' site, this will allow you to go to the service centre and do a test on your phone line, this will indicate if there is currently a fault on your line.

@babsrog78 ,

If the line test doesn't help then you are probably going to need assistance by TalkTalk staff.

The staff on this forum won't be around until Monday now, so you may get faster support by using the live chat or phoning up over the weekend, however the staff on this forum will be able to help next week if you are still having problems.

For one of the TalkTalk OCE's on this forum to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number & alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help.

Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.

Thanks for advice, finally contacted talktalk and there is a fault with the internet connection and landline, has been since early afternoon, so at least I know it's not anything to do with us
