Line drop causes Ethernet ports to stop working

Hello,

When the line drops once or twice a week this results in all hard wired ethernet devices failing

The fix is to reboot the router but this isn't a long term solution

Would it be possible to get a new router for testing

Kind Regards

Andy

Hi @Athulla ,

For one of the TalkTalk OCE's on this forum to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number & alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help. If they think the router is faulty they will be able to send you a replacement.

Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.

Then they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.

Hi

Can you add the home phone number to your 'Community Profile' rather than the mobile so I can locate your account.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Karl,

Sorry i have put the landline on..Never use it!

The connections been dropping off once a day at different times

It wouldn't a problem if the router could reset itself but it needs a phyical reboot

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy

Apologies for the delay.

The replacement router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Thanks

Debbie
