MESH SYSTEM

Hi,

We have fibre broadband up to 36 Mb per second. From the router, we can achieve Wi-Fi speeds of 32 Mb per second.

However we have an old rambling house with thick walls so we have an extensive mesh system. This allows browsing but not much more. The maximum we can achieve with the mesh – even when using the Mesh hub directly connected to the router – is 5 Mb per second.

The mesh company say this is nothing to do with their products… So what am I doing wrong?!

thanks.

I can provide extensive help with WiFi analysers etc, if you want it.

Hi @JackLeach,

Have you checked the Wi-Fi channels that your MESH devices are broadcasting on, to ensure they are not clashing with other strong signals using the same channels.

You can use free smartphone Apps like this to see what channels are being used within range of your smartphone.
