Slow Speed to Devices on Fibre 65

Hello,

We've recently upgraded to Fibre 65. The speed to the router is strong, with an estimated range of 60 Mbps - 74 Mbps. However, speed to device isn't going about 38 mps. Things we have tried to solve this:

  • Standing next to the route to confirm it's not a distance issue - no change.
  • Turning router off for 30 mins - no change.
  • Switching to a less 'busy' channel - no change.
  • Separating the 2.4ghz and 5ghz ranges on to different SSIDs - no change.
  • Tired on different devices (phones, tablet & laptop) - no change.

I think the issue might be with the router itself, can anyone offer any advice? I have tried using the online tool to book an appointment but when clicking confirm appointment the tool just hangs and nothing happens.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Would you like me to send a replacement router for testing?

Thanks

Hi Michelle,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

Unfortunately, I don't have a device which I can wire with a cat5 cable.

Is there anything else I can check?

Thanks,

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

I'm sorry to hear this. Can I just confirm if the wired speeds are ok? Just so we can confirm if this is solely related to the wireless connection?

Thanks
