Hi there, the signal in my house is very poor particularly upstairs and in the kitchen downstairs. I am thinking to get an Asus router to try and improve the situation. The current router/modem I am using is the one provided by TalkTalk - (d link dsl-3782)
I have a couple of initial questions:
1. Would the Asus RT-AX56U be compatible with Talktalk?
2. Would i need to connect it to the current d link dsl-3782 or could i use it as a stand alone?
Apologies as I am not really a tech guy and the whole difference between Modem/Router etc really confuses me.
I hope that someone can advise me on the above.
Kind regards
Jim

The Asus is only a router, it will not work on it's own as it does not include a modem.
You could connect it to the TT D-Link and use it as a wireless access point, the two would have to be physically connected, either directly by LAN cable or over powerline adapters.
