VPN Not working anymore

Hi all, I have what I think is a 5364 talktalk router, this last weekend it stop working with my work VPN, it always had some issues around DNS, is pinged a FQDN it was answer with a spurious IP which couldn't exist, but if i used IP I could get to where I needed, this weekend it stopped working with IP as well as DNS although it appears to create a tunnel as normal. Tried ringing talktalk but that was a bit pointless they promised to call me back but I'm sure you can guess the what happened to that promise.

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you tried factory resetting the router and retesting this again? Does this affect both wired and wireless?

Hi MRL, welcome to the community. Have you rebooted your router lately? Doing this once can cure a multitude of sins. Before you do you might want to change the DNS from Talktalk to Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4?

Worth a try as the team here work office hours and might not get back to you before Monday.
