Wow I am really stuck!

 

Basically I am trying to connect to a VPN then connect to some NHS software using a smart card.

 

The VPN says it is connected but once I put the smart card and enter the PIN it goes through the initial start and then stops when it says remote server cannot be connected.

 

I have a DSL-3782 and no it doesnt work. Just bought a cheap tp-link modem/router and nope exactly the same.

 

I have seen some posts that new routers work but which one? Tried almost everything. Help!

how can I stop someone connected to my router to use VPN? It makes my connection really slower. he said hes not connected because I always disconnect his gadget at night. but when I do check this one appears on diagnosis. there is a hophostaddress.

Hi Karl,

I have the very same issue.

 

I have the 3782 router which allows my VPN to connect but then does not allow my RDS to connect which is very frustrating. Are there settings within the 3782 that can be changed to allow access?

Hi @CaptainJack

 

The current firmware of the 3782 blocks VPNs. I will ask one of TalkTalk's OCEs to pick your thread up and they will probably offer you the HG633, which does work with VPNs.

The forum is not real-time 24/7 support, so depending on how busy they are & how many are working at any one time, this can take 24 - 48 hrs (excluding weekends & limited cover on Bank Holidays). Alternatively, you can call the call centre or use online chat. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. So the fewer entries you make on your thread now, the sooner they will pick it up.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:-

Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.
