Hi

My work VPN operates on a public IP using Port 445.

I.m told that my WiFi Hub is blocking outbound connections on Port 445.

I need you to unblock this for me so that I can work from home during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Thanks

Hi @emsliep

Thanks for creating your own thread, it was not at all clear what the other person was trying to get working. VPNs are totally different.

What make/model of TalkTalk router do you have & ideally firmware visit running. What VPN client are you using?

Hi emsliep,

How are you getting on? Do you still need help with this?

Thanks

Hi @KeithFrench  & @OCE_Michelle

Thank you so much for replying to my thread.

I have the WiFi Hub - but I'm not sure how to find out what make/model it is - there is nothing written on the Router.  Can you let me know how I can find this out please?

I'm just waiting for my company IT Support to get me the answers to your other questions

many thanks

If you pull the plastic panel up & out of the router, there is a label behind it that should tell you.

It is a Sagemcom,

it says Device Ver.: FAST 5364-3.T8

So long as it is running firmware V2808, you shouldn't have a problem.

How do I check this please?

Log into the router & look at the bottom of every page, or go to:-

Dashboard > See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub > Device Info > General

It is listed in the Device section (OK they call it software).

Hi @KeithFrench

I can't see the options you mention on my dashboard.

Please see screenshot attached showing the options that I have.

Thanks

Hi @KeithFrench

I am using FortiClient VPN

That is because you logged into your MyAccount & not the router. Go to:-

http://192.168.1.1

Then login with the username of:-

admin

and the router password stated on the label behind the removable panel on your router.

It says Software Version SG4K10002808t ?

There are no VPN issues associated with this router/firmware, does the IP address allocated by your company clash with the 192.168.1.0 network?

The address is Telnet 185.24.15.58.445 ?

Your company cannot possibly be allocating you a 185.24.25.445 address.

I'll put you back to TalkTalk.

Hi emsliep,

As Keith says, this router usually works fine with VPN's but I can send a different make and model to test with if you like, would you like me to arrange this?
